FREE LABOR IN MEAT INDUSTRY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. Arrangements have been made for the resumption of work at the Pareora and Smithfield freezing works on Monday, after about a fortnight’s hold up by the butchers’ strike- Free labor will bo employed, mostly farmers and their sons, who are offering in plenty. It is estimated there are sufficient sheep for about three weeks’ work. Some farmers declare that if there is any trouble consequent on their killing they are prepared to load the ships. Killing will be on the teams system. INFORMATIONS LAID. Wellington, July 1. The Labor Department is taking action against the freezing workers on strike at Napier, Tiiparu, Christchurch, Oamaru and Invercargill. Information has been laid in a large number of cases.
