Another cherished desire of Mr. H. G. Ell, the running of an old-time English stage coach, appears to be well on the way towards realisation (says a Christchurch paper). Mr. Ell informed a reporter that a contract had been signed for tlje building of a stage coach, and a substantial deposit had been paid in connection with the contract. The coach is to be an absolute replica of coach in use on the .English roads>&inety years ago, and the design, Mr. I?n says, has been taken from reliable records as regards form and color. The contract above referred to set out, in the preamble, that the coach, when built, is to held in trust by trustees on behalf of the peopl • of Christchurch, and is to become their property as a public conveyance.
