RATHENAU’S MURDER.

REPUBLICAN DEMONSTRATION. THE TRAGEDY DENOUNCED. CLUE TO ASSASSINS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.--Copyright. Berlin, June 26. The Republican demonstration in the Lustgarten created an enormous impression. Two hundred thousand people were present. In the Reichstag, on Sunday, Herr Wek, on behalf of the Majority Socialists, declared that the Monarchist flag in Germany had become the standard of murder. Heir Helfferich, he said, should disappear from public life. Herr Hergt, Pan-German, denounced the tragedy, but said the Presidential degree was opposed to the spirit of the constitution and destructive to liberty. Herr Crispin, Independent Socialist, stated i that all officers should be dismissed from i the Reichswehr police, and the property ! of the former ruling houses should be conj fiseated for the purpose of reparations, i Herr Wirth said he saw the Lustgarten ; demonstration, which was orderly and j calm, but beneath this discipline lay a voll cano, the eruption of which would teach , severe lessons to the nations’ enemies who • poured poison into the wounds of the na- | tion. Those enemies were on the Right. I A sensational clue to Dr. Rathenau’s assailants has been furnished by a man who ; met the motorists with their goggles off, ■ standing by the. car. His description tallies 'with that of Schultz and Tialeesen, murderers of Herr Erzberger. TWELVE ARRESTS MADE. Berlin, June 26. In connection with Or. Rathenau’s assassination, Captain Karl Tiaelessen, broker of the suspected murderer of' Herr Erzeberger, and Captain Hoffmen, who i* al > suspected of complicity in the recent Üb.empt upon the life of Herr Schneideman, and 11 members of a Bavarian secret society, have been arrested. i Collisions between Monarchists and workI men are reported at Loschwitz, NuremI burg, and Freiburg.
