TARANAKI POWER BOARD.

THE NOMINATIONS. The nomination of candidates for the Taranaki Electric Power Board closed at noon yesterday, and were as follow: Eltham Borough.—Mr. H. G. Carman. Eltham County.—Messrs. C. J. Belcher, C. E. McGuinness, and D. L. A. Astbury. Stratford County.—Messrs. T. R. Anderson, G. Sangster, and W. H. Were. Inglewood County.—Mr. W. P. Harkness. For the one seat for the Eltham borough, one seat for the Inglewood county, and the three seats for the Stratford county the various candidates were duly declared elected. For the Eltham county there are only two seats, for which three candidates are nominated. There will thus be an election, which will be held on Tuesday in next week (July 4).
