HUNTING.
NORTH TARANAKI CLUB. On Saturday the North Taranaki Hunt met at Mr. A. Adlam’s, Motonui, when, notwithstanding the boisterous weather, about twenty enthusiasts turned out to follow the hounds. Hares, although fairly plentiful, were hard to get running, keeping close to cover. On two or three occasions a hare made a break, but owing to the cold driving wind the hounds found difficulty in keeping the scent. Mr. Adiarn and his neighbors had been to a lot of trouble to spar the country. At the conclusion of the hunting the huntsmen and spectators were entertained at afternoon tea by Mr. and Mrs. Adlam, for which Mr. Chaney returned thanks on behalf of those present.
