The grade cows, which were in great buckle, sold exceptionally well from £ll to £24, and the average, which to the auctioneers’ knowledge is the best in Taranaki to date, for the 23 cows, was £l4 18s per head. The in-calf heifers sold from £6 10s tc £l5 10s, and the grade yearling heifers from £5 5s to £5 10s. A milk cart horse realised £36 10s, and a half-draught horse £34—exceptionally good prices.
