SHOCKING OUTRAGE
GREAT SOLDIER MURDERED SHOT BY SINN FEINERS CAPTURE OF ASSASSINS A shocking assassination of a great British soldier has been added to the list of Sinn Fein crimes. Field-Marshal Sir Henry Wilson was shot dead outside his London residence, in a fashionable West End locality, by two Irishmen connected with the Sinn Fein organisationSir Henry was appointed Chief of the Imperial General Staff in 1918, after having occupied a high position with the British Army in the field during the European War. He recently resigned his post at the War Office and entered politics. He was appointed military adviser to the Ulster Government, being directly concerned in the organisation of Ulster’s defence—an appointment which supplies the reason for the crime. An exciting chase followed the murder, during which the assassins fired on their pursuers, fatally wounding a police constable. The assassins were quickly captured, and were only saved by the •police from being lynched by an infuriated crowd.
