EMPIRE EXHIBITION.
AUSTRALIA’S ARRANGEMENTS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June 23, 7.15 p.m. Sydney, June 23. A conference of representatives of the Federal, New South Wales, Victorian, South Australian and Queensland Governments reached an agreement regarding Australia’s display at the British Empire Exhibition. It was ‘ decided to secure an allotment of space to provide 'for an Australian exhibition hall not exceeding one hundred and fifty thousand square feet, and also to acquire an area of S’/y acres round, the building for outside displays and other purposes. The total expenditure, including management, is not to exceed £200,000, which will be borne by the Commonwealth and the various States on a participating basis, the States to provide and deliver the exhibits and the Commonwealth to be responsible for all managerial func-tions.—Aua.-N.Z.
