I I get £5 15s a week when working full time in the tunnel, but there is a good deal of lost time. I live in a threel roomed whare. Nearly all my debts, excepting the hospital bill, were incurr- . ed at Fordell before I came to New Ply* mouth. Since coming here I have been paying off some of my debts as fast as I could, but the creditors were pushing m? and I was obliged to file. I was in work at Fordell, but I was just married at the time and had not much money. I got into debt through sickness, while a lia-by was born about that time. I have never since been able to get out of debt. My wife Jias no money. I have no other assets besides that disclosed in my statement. If my creditors had been willing to give me time I would have paid them all off, provided of course I had constant work and bad kept my health. Now I can make no offer. Another babv was born last Saturday, and this will necessitate more expenditure.”
