At tiie general election in 1919, when Mr. Kellett won the seat, 8762 votes were polled, 478*4 for Mr. Kellett and 3978 for the official Labor candidate. Following are to-day’s results:— J. W. Munro (Official Labor) .... 3360 J. J. Clark (Independent Reform) 3*239 W. Begg (Liberal) 908 Majority for Munro 141 Seventy-seven absent voters’ permits have yet to be counted, and there are several declaratory votes. The result of the poll was received by over 1000, and when Mr. Munro appeared he was received with the greatest enthusiasm, the cheering lasting several minutes.
