At the monthly meeting of the High Schools Board, Mr. A. J. Papps was promoted to the position on the staff of the Boys’ School rendered vacant by the resignation of Miss J. M‘Leod. Mr. R. B. D. Eyre, Collector of Customs for New Plymouth, left yesterday for "Wellington to attend the annual conference of the Public Service Association as the representative of the Taranaki branch.
