THE LAW OF PROPERTY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June 17. 5.5 p.m. London, June 16. The House of Commons passed the Law of Property Bill, consisting of three hundred pages, the /longest public measure ever passed by Parliament. The Bill was the result of twenty-five years’ work and effects a great reform in the land tenure system.
FINANCE IN MEXICO. Received June 18, 5.5 p.m. New York, June 17. An agreement has been signed between Mr. Thomas Lamont, representing the International Bankers’ Committee, and Dela Huert, Secretary of the Mexican Treasury, whereby Mexico will resume partial interest payments on her external debts, amounting to five hundred millions. All back interest, amounting to two hundred millions, is cancelled.
