THE TAUPO TREMORS,

NG CAUSE FOR ALARM. 7 REPORT OF THE EXPERTS. By Telegraph.-—Press Association. Rotorua, Last Night. Dr. Adams, Professor Marsden and Mr. Morgan have completed their investigations regarding the earth tremors at Taupo, and Mr. Morgan returned to Rotorua this evening. He states there is no cause for alarm. The shakes are purely minor ones; they were never severe, but were small tremors caused by slight faults. No eruption is likely, and it is probable the tremors will pass when the subsidence has adjusted itself. The character of the country does not lend itself to violent explosions and thermal action is absolutely normal. The lake is an inch and a half lower than usual, owing to there being no rains and frosts are preventing snow water.
