Mr. Justice Powers dismissed an application by the Merchant Service Guild of Australasia, that Jhe Court should strike out the whole of the first section of the plaint dealing with shipowners and the claim to compel pilotage-authorities to pay a pilot an annual salary of £BOO, and to insert in its place a claim that the State should pay to certain defined pilots at the fouixports only an annual salary of £BOO.
