Napier park meeting. First day’s acceptances. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Na pier, Last Night. Acceptances for the first day of the Napier Park winter meeting are : MOTEO HANDICAP HURDLES. One mile and three-quarters.
T.J.C. COMMITTEE. The Taranaki Jockey Club Committee met ■last night. Present: Messrs. W. C. Weston (in the chair), .1. McLeod. B. H. Chaney, O. W. Sole, A. Alexander, L. B. Webster, A. R. Standish, W. P. Nicoll, G. Fraser and F. Orbell. A number of trainers and jockeys were granted certificates of fitness and character in connection with their applications for licenses. It was decided to hold the annual meeting of the club on Thursday, .July 27. TARANAKI DISTRICT COMMITTEE. The Taranaki District Committee then met. Present: Messrs. J. McLeod (in the chair), B. H. Chaney, 0. AV. Sole, A. Alexander, S. Pitt, A. H. Washer, J. Gray, and G. Frdser. Apologies were received from Messrs. L. A. Nolan, D. J. Malone and A.. Good. The following licenses for the coming season were recommended:— Trainers.-—J. T. Wade, J. F. Butler, J. J. Thacker, J. O’Neill, D. Moragan, Jarvis George, T. Coffey, W. M. Mantle, R. Johnson, E. George and AV. E. Anstis. Jockeys.—R. E. Manson and Thomas Close (subject to Hawke’s Bay offering no objection), and N. Shore and J. T. Wade. Apprentice Jockey.—L. E. George. Several names were forwarded to the Racing Conference for inclusion in the unpaid forfeit list in connection with the Egmont and Taranaki meetings. Three accident claims will be forwarded to the general trustees for consideration.
