ELECTIONS IN TASMANIA.
THE LATEST POSITION. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June 12, 5.5 p.m. Hobart, June 12. The election figures for all divisions) are incomplete, as thousands of absent pestal votes have to be counted. Until this is done the quotas cannot be arrived at. Present appearances point to a fairly °qual representation of Nationalists and Labor, yrith a chance of the Nationalists -gaining a majority of one or two. The Country Party seems certain to hold the balance of power. An outstanding feature of the elections is the heavy vote polled by labor, which is largely due to the activity of the Civil Service and small traders. The seats of the Premier and the leader of the Labor Party are safe. Received June 12, 11.50 p.m. y Hobart, June 12. No definite election results are expected before Wednesday.
