AMERICAN COAL STRIKE.
BACKED BY BRITISH MINERS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June 12, 8.15 p.m. New York, June 11. Acting-President Smith, of the British Miners’ Federation, has arrived at Cincinnati to participate, as fraternal delegate, in the American Federation of Labor Convention. He declared that the British miners would refuse to dig coal for exportation to break the American coal strike. British miners were attempting to put a check on reported shipments. Mr. Smith added that the British miners, to the extent of 100 per cent., were behind the American miners and would do anything possible to help them.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
