A POSTMAN’S CRIME. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, June 12. At the Supreme Court, George Horace Fletcher, aged 21, postman, was sentenced to one years reformative treatment for theft of postal packets. AUCKLAND SESSIONS. Auckland, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day Henry E. Elliott, a solicitor, of Opotiki. who was recently fined £lOO for failure to get his accounts audited, was called upon at the instance of the Law Society to show cause why he should not be struck off the rolls. The offence alleged was his second of this description. Mr. Justice Stringer let the matter stand over for a month to give Elliott a chance to settle the costs, amounting to fifteen guineas. His _ Honor remarked that a recurrence of the lapse might see the offender struck off the rolls.
