THE WAR MEMORIAL
COUNCII> CONFERS WITH COMMITTEE. A conference between the New Plymouth Borough Council and members of the War Memorial Committee was held last evening. The committee were represented by the following members: Messrs. C. H. Burgess, W. H. Skinner, S. G. Smith, M.P., F. Hartnell, F. J. Hill, J. S. Connett, W. J. Penn, C. E. Bellringer, J. McLeod and C. Carter. After a full discussion a suggestion was made by the council which the executive of the Wai’ Memorial Committee agreed to take into consideration and refer back to the w.hole committee with a view to obtaining their opinion on the matter. The discussion was not open to the Press.
