Waitemata, loading at Pacific Coast ports in July for New Zealand ports, including New Plymouth. TREDENHAM ARRIVES. The Hain liner Tredenham arrived from Texas City and New Orleans, via Auckland and Wellington, yesterday morning with 40,000 bags (1800 tons) of basic slag and 70 eases of turpentine for discharge at this port. Captain J. O. Evans, who is in command, has associated with him the following officers:— Chief, Mr. T. Angles; second, Mr. A. Hale; third, Mr. C. Downs; chief engineer, Mr. Ladner; second, Mr. Lawson; third, Mr. Henderson ; fourth, Mr. Philips; fifth, Mr. Morgan ; wireless operator, Mr. J. Johnstone; chief steward, Mr. N. Eynon; cadets, Cornish, White, Robert?, Clements, Uren and Stretton. The vessel is expected to sail about Friday i for Sydney. Melbourne, and Port Pirie. i loading at the latter port for Antwerp, via Cape of - Good Hope. The vessel’s chief dimensions are: Length overall, 500 ft.; perpendiculars, 476 ft. Bin.; beam, 62ft. ; tentage. 8435 gross, 5369 nett; dead weight, 12,200 tons. She is the longest vessel .yet berthed at New Plymouth. The vessel has unsually large engines for a single screw steamer. They are quadruple reciprocating • engines of 5500 indicated horse-power. Steam I ! is supplied from four boilers. The sizes of the cycllnders are 28in., 42in., 67in., and i SBin., with a big 5-foot stroke. On entering ; port the vessel was drawing 16ft. 6in. forward and 20ft. aft. RARAWA THIS MORNING. The Rarawn is expected from Onehunga with passengers and cargo early this morning, and will sail on the return trip, at 8.30 to-night. BADEN POWELL TO-DAY. The small steamer Baden Powell left Wellington for New Plymouth at 5 p.m. yesterday, and should arrive about twio o’clock this afternoon. She has cargo from Lyttelton and Wellington. CORINNA SAILS. Having completed discharge of her New Plymouth cargo, the Corinna sailed for Dunedin direct early last evening. KAHIKA’S MOVEMENTS. The Kahika, which is leaving Onehunga at noon to-day for New Plymouth, will be berthed to-morrow morning and will sail in the evening for Wellington with cheese ’ and any cargo offering .for southern ports. KAIKOURA’S CARGO. The Kaikoura, which gailed from Liverpool on June 2 for Auckland and other ports, including New Plymouth, is understood to have 1500 tons of cargo to discharge here. THE PORT CHALMERS. The Port Chalmers, according to cable advice, left Colon on the 7th instant for Lyttelton, en route from London. The vessel is due at Lyttelton on July 1, and will discharge there and at Dunedin. She will subsequently load at Lyttelton, Picton, New Plymouth, Wanganui and ’ Wellington. She will leave Wellington early in August for London. ZEALANDIC ARRIVES HOME. Cabled advice has been received by the Shaw-Savill Company that the Zealandic arrived 'at London on Saturday from Wellington The vessel, which left Wellington on April 29, and travelled via Monte Video and Tenerlffe, made the passage in the good time of 42 days. RUAPEHU LEAVES SOUTHAMPTON. The New Zealand Shipping Company has been advised by cable that the Ruapehu was dispatched from Southampton on June 9 for Wellington direct, via Panama. The vessel is due at Wellington about July 24. THE VANCOUVER SERVICE. The R.M.S. Niagara,' which left Auckland at 9.30 p.m. on Friday for Sydney, is to leave the latter port on June 22 for Auckland, en route to Suva, Honolulu, and Vancouver. WIRELESS FROM MAIMOA At present en route from Liverpool, the Shaw-Savill Company’s Maimoa has advised bv wireless that she expected to reach Auckland at T a.m. to-day. The vessel, whmh has cargo for discharge at Auckland, ,Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, is now due at Wellington on June 20. ULIMAROA FROM SYDNEY Next Saturday the Huddart-Parker Company’s inter-colonial passenger steamer Uhmaroa is to sail from Sydney direct for Wellington, where she is due on Wednesday, the 21st inst. CANADIAN HIGHLANDER REPORTED. Cabled advice received by Messrs. Murray, Roberts and Co. reports the departure from Vancouver on June 2 Of the- Canadian Higilander for Auckland and Australia. The vessel is expected to reach the northern port on July 1. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICE. The vessel will proceed from Japan to Pacific Coast ports to load for New Zealand and Australian ports. The Waikawa, en route from San Francisco, via Apia, was due at Napier on Sunday. She will proceed thence to Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. The Wairuna will load coal at Newcastle for San Francisco next week. The vessel will make her voyage via Papeete. OVERSEA MOVEMENTS.
