HAWERA WINTER SHOW.

THE POULTRY DIVISION, Thia year special interest is attached to the poultry division owing to the keen interest displayed by the local poultry fanciers, who have formed a special committee to" work in conjunction with the show committee. This will be much appreciated by outside exhibitors, who will welcome the assistance of the Hawera fanciers in connection with the arrangements. In addition to all the usual classes open for competition, the North Island Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Association have allotted the following championships to this show: (1) Wyandotte, silver male; (2) Wyandotte, silver female; (3) ducks, Pekin, male; (4) ducks, Pekin female; (5) Orpington, A.O.V. (but black), male; (6) Or-pingthn, (A.0.V.), (but black), female; (7) Campines, male; (8) Campines, female. Exhibitors will bo pleased to kno.w that Mr. F. Dacre, of Christchurch, has been appointed judge. Mr. Dacre is so wellknown throughout the Dominion in his capacity as a judge that his appointment should tend to increase the entries received. A very fine lot of •special prizes have been allotted to this division, and it only remains for exhibitors to do their part to ensure that this year the success that has always attended the poultry show will be greater than ever.
