The notorious Madame Bessarabo, after two years’ imprisonment, is charged, with her beautiful daughter, Madamoiselle Jacques, with the murder or her first husband, a Roumanian oil broker. AMERICA’S TARIFF. Washington, June 8. Signor Ricci, Italian Ambassador, visited Mr. C. E. Hughes at the latter's request to discuss the statement regarding the tariff. It is understood the American Government considers the tariff is a domestic issue and is not a proper subject for discussion by foreign diplomats at Washington.
