AMUNDSEN’S PLANS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. London, June 9. Captain Amundsen, writing in The Times, announces his intention to attempt to fly to the North Pole this summer. He expects to start from Alaska and cross the Pole, making for Northern Greenland using an entirely ■metal Larsen plane piloted by u leading Norwegian airman, G. Omdal. 'Captain Amundsen will leave the Maud <at Port Barrow, for the attempt, which he expects to accomplisli in 15 hours. [Port Barrow is at the extreme north of Alaska in latitude 71. degrees.]
