Russian opinion believes that Lenin will never sufficiently recover to resume i his political activities. Leading Communists regard Trotsky as quite incompetent for the post, and names suggested are Ossinski (Agricultural Commissar), Preobrachenski (Finance Delegate), and Semaskowski (Health Commissar). —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. EXTREMISTS GAINING GROUND. GOVERNMENT MUST FAT J,. Berlin, June 10. had a second stroke on Monday night. The German specialist, Dr. Forster, declares that his condition is most serious, and that perhaps it will terminate fatally. It is understood that Trotsky has assumed tbe leadership and that the extremists are rapidly againing ground. The Moscow International executive is meeting to discuss the new position. Paris, June 9. Le Matin’s Rome correspondent states that according to intercepted correspondence with a Soviet representative the latter recognises that the Government must fall within six months if it does not receive financial help.
