ENGLISH RACING. 'xBy Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, June 9. The Manchester Cup resulted: North Waltham 1, King’s Idler 2, Ring True 3. NORTH TARANAKI STAKES. GOOD ENTRIES. Splendid entries have been received for the North Taranaki Stakes, to be run at the naki Jockey Club’s autumn meeting in February, 1923. The entries, which closed on Friday evening with the secretary (Mr. E. P. Webster) total about 70, which must be regarded as very good, when it Is considered that this year the committee has confined the classic race to two, three, four and five-year-olds. The leading owners in the Dominion are represented.
