A MISSING BUILDER.
WANTED FOR ALLEGED DEBTS. COURT MAKES AN ORDER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day «n order was made adjudicating bankrupt A. B. Bernard, builder, on the application of the Kauri Timber Company. It was stated that petitioners supplied Bernard with goods valued at £1350 and received no payments. "Bernard had three large contracts and arranged for the progress payment, to fall due just before the Easter vacation. He lifted from the bank £2500 and then he left. He wrote indicating that he would be absent for a few weeks. He paid his workmen with post-dated cheques, which were dishonoured. Bernard disappeared and the search for him was fruitless. A warrant was issued for his arrest, but so far could not be executed.
