MURDER OF CHINAMAN.

AN ARREST MADE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, June 9. A suspect wrs arrested by Detectives Cameron and Quirke this morning in connection with the murder of Chow Yat at Longacre on May 31. The accused, Louis James Taldy, appeared later in the Police Court before the justices, when a remand of a week was granted. Taldy, an unnaturalised Hungarian, about 50 years of age and a laborer, lives in u whare by himself at Wanganui East, and is regarded by his mates as hard working and industrious. He came to New Zealand about 20 years ago.
