GREAT HEIGHT REACHED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June 10, 12.55 a.m. London, June 8. In connection with the Everest expedition, General Bruce, the leader, reports that Messrs. Morhead, Somervil and Norton on May 20, camped at a height of 25,000 feet. Next day they reached 26,700 without using oxygen. They descended to the camp on May 22.—Times Service. [The height of Mount Everest is 29,002 feet.]
