FARMERS’ CONFERENCE.

FURTHER REMITS CARRIED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The Farmers’ Conference has com eluded. The conference adopted a remit that the Dominion headquarters make strong representations to the Government regarding the non-payment of rates on Native lands; also that the Government be urged to give immediate effect to the recommendations of the Hospital Commission of 1921, which provide for the adjustment of subsidies paid to hospitaf boards, as many districts, especially those having large Maori populations, urgently require relief. Mr. R. D. Duxfield was re-elected president; Messrs. C. K. Wilson and A. E. Harding, vice-preeidentiß.
