The “limiting factor” is a term used hv scientists in soil analysis. Thus it is almost useless to add potash and nitrogen to soil where phosphates is deficient, this deficiency being the “limiting factor.” Now, as most New Zealand soils are deficient in phosphate it is easily seen that last year the 2000 users of “Tui” phosphates were on a good thing.
