Middlesex, 408 for nine wickets declared, including Hearne 201, beat Gloucester, 121 and 122. Yorkshire, playing Warwickshire, made 453 for two wickets and declared (Holmes 190 and O’droyd 138, both not out. They established a second wicket record of 333 in four and a half hours. Rhodes took five wickets for 13 and bowled four maidens out of ten overs. Cambridge, 337 and no wickets for 58, defeated Sussex, 147 and 246.
