RETURNED SOLDIERS.

MEETING OF DOMINION COUNCIL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, June 8. The annual general meeting of the Dominion Council of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association commenced to-day. The president, Sir A. H. Russell, was in the chair. The Mayor extended a very hearty welcome to the delegates. Our people, he said, would not forget the valor of our men who took part in the Great War, which, for the time being at least, saved civilisation. The annual report was read. The conference set up a number of committees to consider and report on the remits.
