EVERYBODY’S. “WIVES AND OTHER WIVES.” Mary Miles Minter, the charming little star who has delighted thousands by many of delightful comedy dramas, is the star in “Wives and Other showing finally at Everybody’s to-night. This story is by all odds one of the most enjoyable comedies that have been seen in many a day. Miss Minter is in the 'role of a young bride who a few days after her marriage discovers that her husband spends too much time reading' the newspapers. So she contrives a plan to arouse his jealousy. She lets him see her sneaking some love letters into the fire and when he asks her questions about them she refuses to answer. Straightaway hubby is jealous. Then there are many complications which make one of the most amusing screen plays imaginable. A stirring tale of romance and adventure on the high seas will head the new programme for to-morrow, when Hobart Bosworth stars in the Thomas H. Ince special, “A Thousand to One.” THE PEOPLE’S. “THE FURNACE.” At the People’s to-night, William D. Taylor’s special production, “The Furnace,” from the novel by “Pan,” will be screened for the first, time. It is a tale of modern marriage—of a couple who thought marriage would be a comfortable hearth-fire, but it turned out to be a roaring furnace. It is set amidst scenes of lavish splendor and the faithfulness with which the scenes are reproduced are filled with the fascination of this brilliant spectacle. The cast is a good one. Agnes Ayres, popular star, has leading role and is supported .by Milton Sells and Theodore Roberts, famous for his admirable characterisations. Included in the programme are a two-reel Mack Sennett comedy, topical and travelogue. The prices are the usual. THE MAN OF THE FOREST SATURDAY. The first of the Hodgkinson’s super-pro-ductions, “The Man of the Forest,” will be shown at The People’s this Saturday and Monday, commencing at the matinee Saturday. This picture, taken from the popular novel by . Zane Grey, is amongst frontrank productions of its kind. Everyone has read “The Man of the Forest,” which is one of the latest of Zane Grey’s best sellers. It is a tale cif love and adventure. No one but Zane Grey could have written such a story. It’s a tale of the red-blooded West —a tale of men fighting for the love of a girl. It, will grip and hold. Full of action and thrills, there runs through it a sweet and tender love story that lends enchantment. Probably one of the most interesting features of this film outside the manj r examples of superb horsemanship and the beautiful scenic spots, is the acting of a huge grizzly bear, a tawny mountain lion, and a faithful dog, the nets and companions of “The Man of the' : rest.”- Box plans for "Man of the Forest” are now ©j>pu at Colliery
