Takahashi in office, giving him complete authority to decide the policy of the Cabinet, and to repel recalcitrant members.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.

M. Takahashi recently again suggested to his colleagues the advisability of the joint resignation of the Cabinet. The Premier explained that owing to the recent course of political events, which revealed a wide diversion in views of members of the Cabinet, he felt it would be impossible to carry out the" avowed policy of the Government in domestic affairs.
