NEWTON KING, LTD. REPORTS. At Urenui, on May 29, a fair yarding was well cleared. Young cattle were in good demand, but grown classes. especially those latterly taken by the freezing companies, were little sought after. Weaner heifers brought 22s Gd, 345, Jersey cross do. £2> 15s, £3 13s, empty heifers £4 2s 6d, in-calf do. £6 7s 6d, store cows 10s, 20s, forward do. £2, fat do. £3 ss, weaner steers 17s 6d, 20-month do. 28s 6d, 30s, 2%-year do. £2 2s, £2 ss, fat bullocks £5 7s Gd, sound inrcalf cows £6 l(ls, £7. At Stratford, on May 30, all classes were in fair supply and sold well. We quote: Fat wethers 23s 3d, fresh full-mouth ewes_ 20s 7d, store cows 7s Gd, 15s, 235, sound in-calf cows £2 7s 6d, £3 2s Gd, 20-month steers 38s, weaner heifers 20s, 355, £2 10s, Jersey do. £4 15s, £5, empty »io. £3 15s, £5 3§, in-calf heifers £8 12s 6d, springing cows £lO. At Waitara, on the same day, we conducted clearing sales on behalf of Messrs. R. Aroa and J. McEldowney junr., and report most satisfactory clearances for both vendors. The cattle sold exceptionally well considering the early time of the season. On, account of Mr. Aroa best cows (Jerseys) made from £l5 to £2l, mixed colors and backward sorts £8 to £l2, the herd of 24 averaging £l3 15s. Good farm horses £24 10s and £36. On account of Mr. McEldowney, best, cows £l5 to £3l 10s, the herd averaging £l4 Is; gelding £2O. At Inglewood, on May 31, a good yarding, practically all sold. Yearling and 2-year cattle made up the bulk of the offering, for which prices were quite on a par with late levels. Lambs 9s 2d, 15s, weaner steers Ils, 13s, 20-month do. 31s, store cows 10s, 15s, 27s Gd, sound In-calf cows £2 10s, £3, springing cows £lO. £ll, weaner heifers 22s 6d, 345, choicer do. £2 8s 6d, £2. Ils Gd, £3, Jersey do. £3 19s Gd, £5 Is. empty heifers £3 12s, £5 2s 6d. At Rahotu, on June 1, with the exception of a slackening demand for boner cattle, prices were otherwise unchanged. Weaner steers 12s, weaner heifers, small 16s 6d, 225, 30s, medium sorts £2 Ils. £3, Jersey do. £4 4s, store cows 10s, 14s 6d, 20s, heifer calved At Kaponga, on June 2, a good yarding was well competed for throughout. Weaner steers 20s, weaner heifers, Jerseys, £4 10s, ordinary classes £2, £2 ss, Inferior do. 235, in-calf heifers £5 ss, £G 3s, sizy do. £8 10s. dairy cows £8 10s, store cows 10s, 15s, fresh conditioned do. 275, 33s Gd.
