The newspaper Mainichi Shimbun reports that a modification has been aj> proved of the Japanese naval programme, providing for four 10,000 ton cruisers, four 7000 and twenty-four 1500 ton cruisers, twenty-eight submarines, two airplanes and carriers, and fourteen special duty vessels.
