NEW MAGAZINES.

Messrs. Gordon and Gotch, through the agency of Messrs. T. Avery, Ltd., New Plymouth, forward magazines for review. In the Grand Magazine for June, P. C. Wodehouse continues “The Adventures of Sally,” and Bertha Ruck, Oliver Sandys, Airs. Wilson Woodrow and other well-known writers contribute complete stories. “Stars of the Stage and Screen” are shown in some pages of photogravure. The Grand is a worthwhile companion for a journey or the fireside. The Red Magazine, issued twice a month, is steadily increasing in popularity. and contains a large and varied number of articles each number. April 14 contains tne third instalment of Ethel M. Dell’s new novel “Charles Rex,” claimed to be the best to date from the pen of this widely read authoress. Lloyd Roberts, James Barr, A. G. Greenwood, E. Norman Terry and a host of others are contributors to this all-fiction magazine. which is illustrated throughout. The editor of the Novel Magazine makes no apology for publishing in the April issue one of O. Henry’s masterpieces, “The Caballere’s Way.” The story is one of the best from “the wizard of the pen.” Eden Phillpotts, A. G. Greenwood and G. F. Naylor are among those contributing to the April Novel, which is among the brightest of this month’s magazines.
