HUNTING.
MEET AT MOTONUI. The North Taranaki Hunt Club held a meet at Mr. J. Edwin’s, Motonul, on Saturday, a very enjoyable afternoon’s sport resulting, for though the weather was not all that could be desired, the day was fine except for a slight drizzle in the middle of the afternoon. About twenty-two followed the hounds, three or four exciting runs taking place, and two "kills” being made. Mr. Edwin had gone to a lot of trouble to make the hunt the success it was, and at the conclusion provided afternodn tea for the sportsmen. Mr. B. H. Chaney (deputy-master) returned thanks on behalf of the club.
