THE STOCK MARKET. PRICES AT WESTFIELD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Night t At the Westfield sale to-day there was an average yarding of beef. Prices declined quite 2s per 1001 b. on late rates. Quotations: Extra prime ox to 20s, prime 18s, ordinary 15s to 17s, prime cow and heifer 15s to 17s; ordinary 12s to 14s, rough down to Bs. Sheep.—A full yarding; prices on a par with last week. Quotations: Extra prime heavy wethers to 33s 6d, prime 25s to 275, medium 20s to 235; prime ewes up to 225, others IGs to 19s, unfinished 12s to 14s. Calves.—An average yarding; prices about the same as last week. Quotations: Best to £2 15s, ordinary 35s to 455, others 21s to 30s, fresh dropped 5s to Bs. Pigs.—A large yarding; prices if anything easier. Quotations: Choppers to £3, baconers £3 5s to £3 15s, porkers 25s to £3. Lambs.—A smaller yarding; prices about the same as last week. Quotations: Best to 23s 3d, good 19s to 21s, others 16s to 18s. BRISBANE WOOL SALES. Received May 31, 5.5 p.m. Brisbane, May 31. Competition was keen at the wool sales, greasy merinos spiling at an advance in rates. There was strong competition from America and also from Japan. Increases in prices ranged from five to ten per cent. COLOMBO TEA SALES. Received May 31, 5.5 p.m. Colombo, May 30. At the tea sales the market was strong at the opening, but eased later. Quotations: Common broken and medium pekoe 13£d, and fine laid. WHEAT CARGOES. Received May 31, 5.5 p.m. London, May 31. Wheat cargoes are dull and sixpence to a shilling lower, but there is no bidding to test values. Parcels for Liverpool and Manchester, ex Trevithick and ex Kenilworth realised sfis.
