MASON DIORCE CASE.

MOTION FOR DECREE ABSOLUTE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, May 30. Mr. Justice Adams delivered judgment in the Mason divorce case. Judgment was on a motion brought by Andrew James Mason for a decree absolute for the dissolution of his marriage with Henrietta Mason.

His Honor concluded his judgment by saying ’ that the additional evidence brought forward was not in his opinion sufficient to affect the conclusions of the Appeal Court, with which he agreed. The petitioner, however, should make satisfactory provision for the maintenance of respondent and the motion would be adjourned for that purpose. The case was first heard before Mr. Justice Herdman in August, 1921, who dismissed it. The petitioner appealed from this decision and by its judgment under the Act of 1921 the Appeal Court remitted the suit to the Supreme Court in order that a decree nisi might be made. A decree was accordingly made. The present motion was made under the Amendment Act, 1922.
