SOLDIER PROTECTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland,. Last Night. In the Magistrate’s Court, Mr. McKean, S.M., gave judgment refusing an drder for possession of a house occupied by a returned soldier. He held that the Housing Act of last session did not repeal the protection afforded to soldiers by the '9lB Act. ■Counsel for the tenant quoted Mr. Evans’ decision at Nelson, counsel for the owner urging Mr. Hunt’s Wellington decision.
