BOY SCOUTS.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, May 30. The annual conference of the Dominion Council of the New Zealand Boy Scouts Association opened this morning. Delegates were present -from all parts of the Dominion and were welcomed by -the Mayor. BrigadierGeneral Andretv was re-elected chairman. It was decided that the council take immediate steps to make an appeal to the general public to raise a Cossgrove' memorial fund of £lOOO to provide a home for the widow and dependents of the late Colonel Cossgrove, founder of the movement in New Zealand. It was decided to encourage, ladies to take charge of the younger scouts.
