The fine weather yesterday enabled a good start to be made with loading the liner Port Victor. The cargo to be shipped froun New Plymouth is made up as follows : 20,000 freight earcases of frozen meat, 20,000 boxes of butter, 8000 crates of cheese, 450 casks of j tallow, G7O bales of wool, 500 cases of tinned meats, 70 sacks of hides, and 250 rolls of hides. CORINNA TO-DAY. The Corinna is expected from Nelson about 8 o’clock this morning with 300 tons of general cargo from southerp ports. After discharging she will load 5000 crates of cheese for transhipment to the lonic at Wellington. The proposed trip via Onehunga has been cancelled, and the vessel will sail for Wellington direct to-morrow. RARAWA FROM ONEHUNGA. The Rarawa, which left Onehunga at 3.25 yesterday afternoon, is due at 5.30 this morning with passengers and general cargo, sailing on the return passage at 8.30 to-night. BADEN POWELL TO-MORROW. The Baden Powell, which is bringing general cargo fra/n Wellington, is not now due at New Plymouth till to-morrow. PIAKO AT SYDNEY. The Piako, which is due at New Plymouth next month to load 15,000 freight carcases from the Waitara freezing works, arrived at Sydney yesterday. CARGO FROM CALCUTTA. The Union Company’s Waimarino left Auckland on Saturday for Wellington, where she is due to-day to discharge cargo froiji CalWIRELESS FROM WILTSHIRE. According to a wireless message received on Saturday from the Federal steamier Wiltshire, the vessel can be expected to reach Auckland on Thursday next from Liverpool. She is due at Wellington a week later. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICE. The Union Company advises the following movements of units of its fleet engaged in the cargo service between Pacific Slope and New Zealand and Australian ports:— The Hauraki was expected to clear San Francisco on Sunday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne and Sydney. The Waiotapu. from Sydney, via Newcastle, was to have left Apia on Thursday for San Francisco. She is due at the American port about Sunday, June 11. Laden with a full cargo of wlieat from Geelong and Wallaroo, the Waitemata cleared Newcastle on Thursday for Yokohama and Ko.be, Japan. She is to proceed thence to the Pacific Coast to load for. Australian and New Zealand ports. The Waikaka, from Pacific Coast ports, via San Francisco, is due at Apia about Thursday next. She will go on to Napier, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. The Waikawa, from Pacific Coast ports, via New Zealand ports, arrived at Melbourne uit 3 p.m. on Friday from New Plymouth. Sne will proceed thence to Adelaide and Sydney.,
PAKEHA AT LONDON. A cable message received by the ShawSa vill Company advises the arrival at London, on May 26, of the Pakeha, which left Wellington on April 14. The vessel went via Monte Video and Teneriffe. OVERSEA MOVEMENTS.
