THE TARANAKI SOCIETY. The general committee of th 6 Taranaki Agricultural Society met at New Plymouth. on Friday. Present: Messrs. W. B. Grant (in the chair). J. H. Allen, W. Hall, A. Turnbull. A. E. Washer, C. Hoskin. W. Morris, VV\ Rumba!!, Hamilton, C. W. Ruebe, A. R. Gtidopp, J. R. Rowlatids, A. T. Moore, F. Dodunski, H. Stonex, J.A. Kurth, A. R. Davis, G. H. Bell. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr. W. C. Weston for an offer to provide prizes for the classes at the forthcoming show for membeA of the boys’ and girls’ agricultural clubs, also prizes for the championship. The chairman presented a verbal report of the proceedings at the conference of delegates of Taranaki A. and P. Associations held at Stratford recently, and quoted the remit, which it was decided to forward to the annual conference to be held at Wellington. Owing to some of the stewards (appointed for the winter show being unable to act owing to unforeseen circumstances), other appointments were made. It was decided to engage the New Plymouth Regimental Band to provide the music at the show. In order to make arrangements for the show it was decided to hold a working bee at the Coronation Hall next Friday.
