OCEANIC CONTRACT LAPSES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, May 24. It is explained that the United States Government is not renewing the mail contracts with the Oceanic Company, possibly on account of the large numbers of Government vessels idle, which are suitable for carrying passengers and mails to Australia. The managing agent of the Oceanic Company had nothing to aay in the absence of information from Lis principals.
