THE DAIRY POOL.

(To the Editor.) 1 Sir,-—ln the Daily News to-day I notice these glaring headlines:—“The Dairy Pool; A Company Formed; A Comoulsory Organisation; Quarter of a Million ’ Capital; Legislation asked for." Messrs. Goodfellow and Co. intend to push this dairy pool through at any price. Why do they not wait until they receive the formal voting papers from the dairy factories.-? Surely they will give every dairy factory a chance to either vote for, or against, the scheme, before they ask for legislation to -be passed compelling them to sell their produce through, the pool. We were given to understand that these voting forms would be the deciding factor, as to whether the dairy pool was to be gone on or not." I would advise all daify directors who are opposed to the pool, to follow the example of the. Tikorangi dairy factory, directors <by publishing their decision in the daily papers and also to send a petition opposing it to the Prime'Minister.—l am,etc., A. J. LILLEY.
