TOUR BY OVERSEA VISITORS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received May 23, 9.40 p.m. London. May 22. Representatives of Australia, South Africa, Canada, and New Zealand, including the Hon. A. M. Myers, an esrMinister in New Zealand, are making a three days’ tour of Birmingham and Nottingham under the auspices of the Empire Parliamentary Association. On arrival at Birmingham they were welcomed by the Chamber of Commerce, and spent the day inspecting importand factories, including Avery’s, Lucassa, the Midland Wagon Company, and the Birmingham .small arms factory. Later the visitors were entertained at luncheon by the Chamber of Commerce, at which Mr. Nevill Chamberiain, M.P., presided. Toasting the Dominions, Mr. Chamberlain said Birmingham citizens of all political opinions would be glad when Imperial preference reaches the statute book. Britain’s and the Dominions’ needs were mutual. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
