It is reported from Chicago that President Harding has pardoned Albert Wehde, one of four plotters convicted in 1917 for attempting to foment a revolution in India. Gustav Jacobson, convicted in a similar charge, was released at Christmas. THE WEATHER IN ENGLAND. Received May 23, 8.10 p.m. London, May 22. The temperature in London and South of England reached eighty-two in the shade. This is the hottest day for forty years. Lincolnshire and Yorkshire were visited by remarkable thunder and hail storms, which flooded many districts, and there were several deaths from lightning. , KRASSIN TO STAY TN LONDON. London, May 22. It is officially denied that Krassin has been appointed Russian Ambassador to Berlin. He will remain in London.
