FRAUD ALLEGED.
A PARTNERSHIP SCHEME. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. A young man named Lionel Norman Haigh was to-day committed fpr trial oa charges of conspiring to defraud another of £3OO, and obtaining with intent to defraud two others of £lOO each. The evidence was to the effect that ac~. cused advertised for partners, who were required to invest the sums mention wi Shortly afterwards he dissolved the partnerships, paying in promissory notes. The holders had obtained no money. Accused pleaded not guilty and reserved' his defehce.
