A CONFIDENT TONE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Received May 20, 5.5 p.m. London, May 19. The wool sales have closed. The offered was 157,721 bales, all besold. All sections of the trade opfreely throughout. The United was active in medium fine crosswhile the Continental and Home was fully maintained. For ail and lower grades of crossbreds steadily hardened. Best merinos 7i per cent, above the Marco medium 15, all scoured merinos fine crossbred 10. other sorts 15 to all scoured 10, lambs 5. A contone prevails, and the position healthy.
